Chicago Teachers’ Folly

The Chicago Teachers Union is not getting much sympathy on the national stage. Even the New York Times editorial page – normally a friend to labor – is highly critical of the strike, headlining its editorial “Chicago Teachers’ Folly.” It saves its harshest words for CTU leader Karen Lewis, who is says “seems more inclined toward damaging the mayor politically than in getting this matter resolved.” Ouch.
